Both!
Since times so very ancient
We they can hardly see
Sages and philosophers
Seem mostly to agree
That “opposites” which are arranged
Complimentarily
Turn out excellent halves
Of one still better whole to be
Then, after, when we cast an eye
Made new such ancient insight by
Discernment for, upon this truth ~
Determined for ourselves to try
Amid life’s panorama
As it flows wildly by ~
Cannot this certainty, forsooth,
Certainly deny
And so, when my opinion
One wishes to take
Upon perceived dichotomies
The muck of life to rake,
I answer neither “this” nor “that”
~ Each might be a mistake ~
In all such instances
This answer: “Both!” I try to make
