Your Calling
You’ll do it whether or not you are paid
Whether or not it will get you laid
Whether for it others worship you
Or it, conversely, puts them in a stew
They may look on your green and call it black
Bemoan, in its abundance, perceived lack —
For giving it you may get nothing back
Behind you, except slanderous attack
You languish may in abject poverty
In illness and in deep obscurity
Yet not then from its practice find self falling ~
That’s how you can be certain it’s your Calling
