street verse
faces without makeup
women in blue jeans
timeliness
simplicity
service

and that’s
perfectly
okay

until you start calling

sonnets worthless
makeup immoral
dresses vain and useless
dreamers irresponsibly tardy
visionaries irresponsibly early
all intricacy undesirable
and the only kind of acceptable service
that which you yourself provide
to your fellow man

never mistake
personal preference

for right and wrong
