Still at Large VII

Still at large ~ of course he is ~
He is the creation
Of paranoid statesmen
Of our Nazi nation

Still aiming his EMP
At turbines and at overpasses
Bridges, airplanes, boats and trains
Cars, trucks, lads and lasses

Still arranging assorted
Airborne poisons’ release
In studious attempt his masters’
Hidden selves to please

Still paying stupid citizens
To act like clueless thugs
For the dubious reward of his
Ultimately stepped-on drugs

Still burning little businesses
~ The ones he doesn’t flood ~
Still recompensing workers
Who might be in the mood

To sabotage utilities
Repairs already compromised
By those same workers ~ nobody,
Seeing that truck, realized!

Still messing with the highway signs
Still flinging garbage everywhere
Still filling up the public buildings
With polluted air

Still filling his assignment
From our criminal nation
To reduce the unwanted
Excess population

Still torturing small animals
And red-room women too
Still planning Armaggedon
For you.

  1. A short yet striking line—intense, provocative, and carrying a powerful sense of warning and unresolved tension. ⚡✨
