Firmer Ground

I’ve seen what people turn into
When the pressure’s on ~
It’s nothing that I would prefer
To lean aught weight upon

For every spirit who responds
With love and generosity
One hundred give their precedence
To petty reciprocity

Be empathic’ly aware
Be compassionate, be kind,
But of any imbalance ‘ware
Even imbalance to’ard the kind

Be not of vipers unaware
Nor to false witnessing be blind
Self-aggrandizement, craven fear,
Disinformation for the mind

Here below there is a bottom
Line to come at last unto:
Responsibility for viability
Lies exclusively with you
