We’re making a list
Checking it twice
Don’t even think a
Thought that’s not nice

Thought police are coming to town

You’ve got an implant
Hooked up to our link
We know every
Thought that you think

We know when you are sleeping
We know when you’re awake
We know what you’re afraid of
And every little mistake!

You’d better watch out
We know what you hate
We’ve got you wired
Early and late

Thought police are coming to town

Your emails won’t land
You won’t understand
We know every dream
And hope, every plan

Thought police are coming to town

Communications fail you
Your paperwork gets lost
Upon the human garbage heap
You’re being gently tossed!

Oh…

You’re doomed by our art
Each effort you start
You’ll never prevail
You’re scheduled to fail

You’ll always be ill
Yes, we’ll keep you still
