The United States locks up about as many people every year as the whole rest of the world put together.

One half ~ 50% ~ one out of every two ~ are caged for “victimless crimes.”

This poet is no activist. But she does tell ~ and sing ~ the truth.

Maybe that’s why she lives too terrorized to leave her van.

… Saves her nation the trouble of pretending she “was suicidal.” Or “overdosed.”…

Certainly, after five long years, she can say this:

It is no hurry to arrest her targeter.

Then it might have to go to the trouble of issuing him a new identification with which to continue his work…
