Sorry ‘Bout Your Frustration

Been an eon since you smiled
And I know what has got you riled:
All that trouble taken to
My hopeful discomfort to
Create, design, to engineer
And yet my laughter you still hear
Ringing out happy and clear
From the distant corner you
Persist keeping me banished to

Oh, you were hoping to observe
Anguish you think I deserve
(For what, I remain unaware) ~
It goes way past just “I don’t care”
My friend, or so I heard you say?
I wouldn’t treat a dog this way!
Your wanted movie just won’t play ~
Though you wish that you made me sad
You can’t prevent me feeling glad!
