(It is 2 a.m. in the Land of Hatred, and the unpaid, disrespected, marginalized, undefended and rejected poet is not being permitted to sleep.

Might as well get some work done.

“The idea that to make a man work you’ve got to hold gold in front of his eyes is a growth, not an axiom. We’ve done that for so long that we’ve forgotten there’s any other way.” ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald

The idea that those who have never worked except for their own petty gain presume to look down on this poet strikes her very much as the ant looking down on the sequoia.)

Visions of Nova Terra ~ Look at Me!

There many are who do believe
If we were all to all receive
All which we find that we desire
Nothing, then, would us inspire
Any new wonderful thing
To manifestation bring

Those who so imagine should
Look around their neighborhood
At the children at their play
What do they constantly say?
“Whoo” and “Wow” and “Gee” and “Wheee!”
And a whole lot of “Look at Me!”

“Whoo — I’ve had a wonderful thought!
Wow — Explore it further, that I ought!
Gee — That might just useful be
To someone more than only me!
Look at me, following through!
How did I do? How did I do?”

Though no one’s needful, everyone
Desires to help new works be done
