Rumi’s Field

The like minds start to come together
In the midst of wind and weather
List’ning to the groans and screams
Accompany the birth of dreams

So alone we plied our arts
Kept, all, purposely apart
From each other mostly hid,
Manifesting the new grid

About to be activated ~
Now we have what we created
Now come swift the moments sweet
When we are allowed to meet

Recognizing brethren and
Sisters coming close to hand
Sharing in the same belief
Breathing sighs of pure relief!

All potentials manifest ~
Ay, the worst, and ay, the best ~
On this or on that timeline
In the Mandala divine

We know it is up to us
By our beneficent trust
In beneficent Deity
To cocreate what comes to be

For the likes of you and me
One thing on we all agree:
It’s less to do with latitude
And more to do with attitude

With less of scurrying swift
And more of a sweet peaceful lift
To bring our loft setting to “max”
Our method is just to relax

For here is the pertinent thing
As mentioned by the Tao de Ching:
The finest that we bring to be
Oft follows inactivity

A teacher in the Pagan Way
Put it to students in this way:
“If you are quiet in your mind
Sufficiently, you won’t be blind

Or deaf inner instructions to
The “still small whisper” telling you
To move a little left or right,
To loosen up or hold on tight

For when an earthquake shakes the land
And chaos reigns on every hand
Your saving from ground zero’s scare
Might be just six feet over there…”

It’s getting close, it’s getting strong
This web of light, and word, and song
In Rumi’s field, past right and wrong
Where we’ve all learned to get along
