Vocabularies of Love

Depending on the level
At which we communicate
Our words will tend differently
To our subjects to relate

If we happen to be speaking
On the level of Divine
Everything is as it should Be —
Intelligence benign

Informs our deepest spirits
Of challenges which we should face
Our own growth to augment
The while we serve the human race

On the level of compassion
Though we find no one wrong
We do find some in life
Whom we can maybe help along

At the same time helping
Our own hearts and spirits too
As by the kindness of these works
We happiness to selves accrue

On activism’s level
We point out the need for change
Attempting into greater
Harmony to rearrange

Our corporate relations
The individ’ual to
To keep sustainability
And kindness more in view

The spiritual person,
In balance, keeps in mind
The advisability
Of compassion kind

Affirmative the businessman
Who helps one just because
This here and now he cannot stand
To witness such a loss

And in rising awareness
May also save his sanity,
In face of so much suffering,
By serving of divinity

Activism’s sacrifices
History thinks kindly of
Are motivated at their heart
By nothing more nor less than love…

I wish that these communities,
All singing the same song
All serving the same causes,
Might learn to better get along

We all advocate harmony,
All work for synchronicity —
The only difference between us
Is vocabulary!
