O Broccoli
Though, broccoli, O broccoli,
Your gay green dress deli-ights me —
You take up too much room to store
You make me burp, and furthermore
O broccoli, though, broccoli
I can’t abide the taste of thee!
O broccoli, so, broccoli
You disturb my serenity
When of the cleaning I must think
Of green specks you’ll leave in the sink
I’ll practicing my diet be
This day less conscientiously!
No broccoli, no broccoli
Is what this girl will saying be
When doubtless some well-meaning ass
Attempts to me your platter pass,
So that I may remain far from
The household vo-mitorium
O broccoli, o broccoli
This Christmas, stay away from me!
