Discover Love Again
You had a love
It made you happy
But it’s ended — now you say
That you expected
This betrayal
From a woman anyway
You’re obsessed now
Wondering
Which of you was at fault
Could it be
Simply
That savor’d lost its salt?
Could it be
No matter how
Hard we try to force
Permanence
In fluid dance
It will pursue its natural course?
If we had
Everyone
We’d ever loved within a room
For lying down
Or even breathing
There would be no room!
Imagine if
Your first bad crush
Were all you’d ever had in life
No precedent,
Experiment ~
Saddled as husband or wife
From your own
Experience
You know that, in a simple word,
A life spent yoked
Had been a joke
Considerably sadder than absurd
Now love has come
And then love has
Got up and flown away, well then,
Take what you’ve learned
The wisdoms earned
And go discover love again
