Death of a Dream

Be still, my palpitating heart
Salt tears, please cease to flow
We cannot while we’re here below
The course of heaven know

Recall the other times in life
When endings had to be
To bring another service
Oriented opportunity

Recall sometimes that those involved
Remembered you to thank
Better than any reward
You might have put into the bank

Observe once more you harmless go
About evolving way
Think of the Wisdoms you now know
You didn’t know yesterday

Lift up your head, yes, lift up your
Undimmed and sparkling eyes
And do your best be ready for
The wonderful surprise,

Awesome responsibility
And miraculous nature of
Your next divine adventure
In uncondit’ional love

Take time a little grieve, but trust
Things be not bad as they may seem —
It’s nothing you’re not used to
Only the death of another dream

This poet works for the good of her nation and society, seven days a week.

She’s in a pretty bad fix right now ~ already homeless, and now the van she lives in has stopped running. Not a hope of fixing it without donations. One ticket is death. Real.

Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com to make donations of any amount, using code 72D-31S. It will take about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.

International donors should contact her through these comments or the contact page address on this site for special instructions.

Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
