There’s something about genuine gratitude which turns just enough into an awful lot…

Celebrate Perfection
Seek for the perfection in
The loss or the delay
Last moment misplaced items
Slowing down the day
Unstable relationship
May be meant to show
Clearer than a signpost
Where we have next to go
The cancelation of a plan
Because of pouring rain
Might save one from an accident
With its attendant pain,
Replacement of a vehicle,
Insurance’s increase,
Repair, physical therapy —
Oh, hassles without cease!
Then did you speak a word
That someone failed to understand?
Dismiss not the experience
As useless out of hand
Though your intended meaning
May somehow have been missed
Some life alt’ring insight
That thirsty spirit may have kissed,
Which, had you but known about,
You’d preferred it to receive —
In midst of life’s frustration
Do continue to believe
Weight of expectation
Will outcome affect
In ways your own limited mind
Never might suspect
Seek out the perfection
As matter of course
Celebrate perfection
And perfection will be yours

This poet works passionately for the good of her nation and society, seven days a week.
She’s in a pretty bad fix right now ~ already homeless, and now the van she lives in has stopped running. Not a hope of fixing it without donations. One ticket is death. Real.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com to make donations of any amount, using code 72D-31S. It will take about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
International donors should contact her through these comments or the contact page address on this site for special instructions.
Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
