The Biblical Paul did not say “appearance.” He didn’t say “assumption.” He said “evidence.”
We’ll explore this a little further in our next post, a companion poem, “If You’d Never Seen an Apple, Would You Believe That They Exist?”

Faith is Not Blind
Faith is not blind
Indeed it seeth more,
With gaze compassionate
Expression calm and kind
In depth and breadth more great,
Than any vision of th’ unaided mind
Unaided by the heart
And instinctive gut
And by the knowing soul
Dissected not apart
Harmoniously whole:
Herein of faith lieth the worthy art
Taken not on word,
The scuttlebutt
Of any mundane source
By outer ear be heard —
No credulity force
No effort untoward
The road lies in between
Uncertainty’s belief
And science’ certainty:
Since ancient times hath been
The cleansed eye clearer see
Present “evidence of things unseen”

This poet works passionately for the good of her fellowman, seven days a week.
She’s in a pretty bad fix right now ~ already homeless, and now the van she lives in has stopped running. Not a hope of fixing it without donations. One ticket is death. Real.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com to make donations of any amount, using code 72D-31S. It will take about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
International donors should contact her through these comments or the contact page address on this site for special instructions.
