In her own eyes ~ and, she is sure, in those of her long-suffering readers ~ this poet’s first attempt at rhyming in several months might leave a little something to be ~ ah ~ desired

For their peace of mind, she assures them that this is one set of song lyrics which will never be set to music! 😱

Surveillance Love

Rotate your antennae, honey
Here in my direction ~
Never know, you just might
Pick up on affection

Put your bugs where we all know
Every insect loves to go
Yes, remote computer mine ~
Where the sun don’t shine!

Tell you, babe, I really like
What you do with your hidden mic
We’re both givers and receivers
On your “Stalker” brand transceivers!

When my human heart is full
Point your mic directional
I will offer tender lies
For you to digitize!

I will never be alone
Followed by your insect drone
And I’ve got the one with feathers
When I’m wearing silks and leathers
They’ll never have to work alone ~
There’s always the one in my phone!

Line your little camera
Up upon my mammera
Turn its setting lens on wide
So I can shake ’em side to side
Lights up its LED glower
When I let it focus lower
There’s a mechanical hush
As it scans my bio-bush…

Put your tracker on me
That would just be balmy
Algorithmic essences
From my daring GPS ~
And, again, the sight of all me
Underneath my dress!

It will not be such a winner
When we two go out to dinner
If you go dressed up complete
Have to find an extra seat ~
Helpful if it also rolls ~
On which to put your controls!

We will manage, don’t you fret
Haven’t hit a challenge yet
Could not manage to get by
If we really try

‘Twill a little harder get
If we should decide to wed ~
I can wheel you down the aisle
Wearing a painted-on smile,
But, after that, when it is time
To feed each other wedding cake
Everyone will understand
That the smile is fake…

Still, I think they’ll understand
We take each other by the ~ um, hand
And pledge the everlasting troth
Which will interface us both
Forever, unavoidably
For everyone we know to see
Till we come to understand
Your tendencies are out of hand
You’ve sold the show ~ they’ve seen me bare
And you’re surveiling otherwhere!

She presently lives at a fraction of her nation’s poverty leveland in perpetual terror of a repair on her old vehicle which, unfinanced, will result in the towing of her home and all possessions, and her own ticketing into imprisonment.
