Recently on her site, “The Poet’s Public Record,” its author/editor announced her unwillingness to continue overcoming both unspeakable working conditions and rampant American hatred to publish further poetry, until patronage is received.
As readers can see from her immediately prior post, some of that patronage indeed reached the poet this morning.
Therefore, we are happy to offer on that poet’s site an actual poem!
For these purposes, she opened her file of original poetry and, scrolling swiftly through its thousands of selections, chose one at complete random.
Knowing the arts patron somewhat personally (WP’s own ‘katerehanna’ ~ check her out, you won’t be sorry), an inner request was made for selection which might less reflect the poet’s own technical prowess than celebrate this donor’s inner essence, her very significant personal contributions to the sun of human understanding.
Here is what came up.
Couldn’t be more perfect!

*****
standing at the perimeter
of the winter bare field
in very early spring
the decaying third dimensional loam
stretching before us in
dreary sameness
we see
the first
widely scattered
seedlings
one here
one there
a car covered in flowers
a van all in well painted
geometric designs
local art on the tramway
no ad ad ad to be seen
a whole family with big smiles
and pink and purple hair
hand in hand
people with flowing hair
and big smiles
no hair at all and big smiles
people looking
like themselves
instead of each other
food replicators being
patented as i write
take us right up
outa that old food chain
brothers and sisters
no more need to kill to eat
feel me
diy plastic recycler
on the web for free
kids helping grandmas
people buying each other cars
comforting each other’s children
comforting
each other
the tiniest green shoots
of ease
grace
beauty
forgiveness
compassion and dare we say
love
arising
arising
look good people look
they are rising now
into the
into the
into the
Light

This poet presently lives at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level, and in perpetual terror of a repair on her old vehicle which, unfinanced, will result in the towing of her home and all possessions, and her own ticketing into imprisonment.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code 72D-31S. It will take about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
International donors should contact the poet through these comments or the contact page address on this site for special instructions.
Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts
