Attempt it Till You Faint Away

If poets paid were, for the job we do,
It’s recompensed we’d be to dreamy be —
All that is most unobvious to you
We would be paid to surely, clearly see

And then be able to describe it to
Someone such as yourself, who never may
Come close to being able so to do,
Though you attempt it till you faint away

Observe that I do not disparage you
Who are unable to see the unseen —
Perhaps a bit more tolerance from you
For what I overlook there may have been

Those times, intently gazing inwardly,
What’s obvious to you, I failed to see
