Ageless

Come see what true maturity can do
To cover the bare bones of simple truth
With layered knowledge of more nuanced hue
And insight unavailable to youth

Enhanced by much experience, their scan
Of what may be important in the life
Led by a common ordinary man
Through triumph, ecstasy, despair and strife

Demonstrates ways to steer delicately,
An accurate orientation know,
Upon existence’ obfuscating sea
As through its overwhelming breakers go

Come sit, hear what the elders have to say
As did we in an ancient, wiser day
