No One Told You
You can’t help it, brother
Don’t know what to do ~
You can’t even help it
Nobody taught you
I’ll bet they told you
Right’s weaker than wrong
That you had to go along
To get along
Or otherwise never
Not to be strong
Other piranha
Humans among
Bet nobody taught you
That working together
We can keep all of us
Out of the weather
No one informed you
Nobody said
That there’s enough food here
To keep us all fed
Enough that nobody
Hunger need dread
If we would just get it
Distributed
By something other
Than own gain besotted
After it’s gathered
And before it’s rotted
You can’t help being weaned
On media lore
Glorifying
Destruction and war
Nobody said
We could all be in clover
By practicing pow’r-with
Instead of pow’r-over
I try to have patience
With your daily brawl
It isn’t your fault:
No one told you at all
