I got to do something good!
I got to do something good?
Powerless as I am
Got no money, thank you ma’am,
Still got to go that extra mile
Still got to make somebody smile
It’s free to leave a good review
For a happy public view
So I can’t pay for a gift
Still I get to spirits lift
It just goes to show us all
Though our back’s against the wall
Can’t afford a single thing
Which ease might to a brother bring
Still with lifting heart be heard
The living and redeeming word
Of praise, enablement, of hope, of
Affirmation, and of love
