How Can We do Less?

Opportunities for heroism
Presently abound
Gathered thick as fallen fruit
On our shifting ground

To lift a soul, to bring a smile
To help the weak, comfort a heart
To, every single one of us,
Find the way to do our part

So many now, so many, who
Reaching further are, to bless
All the suffering they view —
How can we do less?
