Only Misery

I applaud your activism
Politically
Your sacrifices for the cause
Of justice clearly see
Were it not for this work
Unhesitatingly I do agree
There would be little of a place
In this world for the likes of me

Now further I am curious
Presently to learn
If you have respect for
The work that I do in return
In causes whose deserving
Publication for I burn
Do those, my efforts, of your heart
Aught admiration earn?

I operate in diff’rent realms
To same ends, manifestly:
That love and peace upon this Earth
Become ours eventually —
When viewed from this perspective
Spiritually
There are no oppressors,
Only misery.
