Don’t Lie
It’s time for us all
To stop lying
We do it six times
In every ten minutes’ talk
The lie is supreme among us
Some of us are growing to doubt
The very existence of truth
When we’re asked
“Does this make me look fat?”
It’s time to say
“Our society is the only one in the whole world
Which thinks anorexia is beautiful”
It’s time to say
“Not fat — pleasingly plump!”
It’s time to say
“I see you in something more flowing”
Anything
Anything, people
Anything but
“Noooo….”
