You have to know, you have to know
Through people sayin’ it ain’t so
Through “no” and “no” and “no” and “no”
Because that’s just the way that things
In this, our third dimension, go

Right from when you first begin
The path of your true calling in
Got to thicken up that skin
Against what the resistence bring —
You want to place, much less to win?

Expect the best, plan for the worst
Have your escape routes well rehearsed —
Then give that cause a mighty burst
Of every, every, everything
You got in you, you want to finish first
