Wisdom of the Sasquatch

They say there have been Bigfoot sighted here
And that it filled our government with fear

Showed up in hazmat suits, I understand,
With technical equipment all to hand

They had so many gadgets, wouldn’t you
Just know it — thermal, yes, and seismic too

They’ll never catch a Sasquatch in those ways
If they try for a million million days!

A Bigfoot which desires them not him view
Simply escapes other dimensions to

That ridge, they say, is strict verboten now
Of course, the locals go there anyhow

Perhaps some of them might instinctive know
‘Mongst strangers more respectfully to go

Perhaps to feel the overwhelming love
Our ancient hairy wiser brothers of

And open up the mind, and still the heart
And wait to hear what they have to impart

If by instinctive peacefulness cannot,
By no outrageous method be it bought

Perhaps some day the government will learn
Higher contact we must by virtue earn

Beginning with outreach as it was meant
To be between creatures of good intent

We without those white suits and guns must go
If wisdom of the Sasquatch we would know
