Wasted

One little hole doth not a garment make
Completely useless and unusable
When we an unobtrusive stitch might take
To discard it is inexcusable

Likewise a scissor made never to be
Put to a stone, but instead thrown away,
Machinery merely compromised be
For which repair more than replacement pay

Eighty percent of this world’s riches are
Consumed right here in these United States
Before we even start to talk of war ~
O planetwide the suff’ring it creates!

Forget the snobs’ “respectability”
Respectful of our world’s resources be
