dis de new age
not de old

we will no
longer be told

by some high
entitled wench

sitting back
behind a bench

(rather like
a nesting louse)

costs more than
defendant’s house

without one
small single clue

what life’s like
for me and you

walking
humbly below

anything
that she can know

here, we are
community

that is how
we justice see

something someone
has to fear?

circumstances
all unclear?

no stranger may
such truth infer

so ours sits on
perimeter

for just as long
as it might take

actual fair
judgment make

watch the scene
talk to folk

such truths
of themselves bespoke

genuine justice
rebegin
