Any Situation In

Modern quantum physics are
Not from magic very far —
What you see and what I see
Could not much more different be
Though we’re looking at the same
Objects, by divergent name

Names, applied, make us perceive
Events to be as we believe
Not a one of us may know
All things under heaven go —
Our limited minds must select
Congruency, selves to protect

From overwhelming shock ‘twould be
Perceiving in totality
Awesome universality!
Thus, eyewitnesses cannot agree
On any one testimony,
Wise to which our police force be

So, handicapped regarding the
Perception of reality,
We yet together must agree
On some believability
So that our good society
May enjoy functionality

Now, which perspective do we choose
When we illusion wish to lose
And seek constructive common ground
Enables all once it be found,
Neglecting not the least of we
While asking most least penalty?

A platform from which to begin
To formulate a true win-win
By which result we know at last
We’ve put the problem in the past
(As those who fly now through the sky
Have put past transportation problems by)

Here is the guide that moment of —
Choose the reality of Love:
Look the other in the eye
And, just for that brief moment, try
No, really try, to understand,
Genuine empathy command

And then apply that same ferule,
Same standard, that same Golden Rule
Unto the one who needs it most,
The wan, unhappy little ghost
Of your own deepest, truest need —
‘Tis ready, then, ye be indeed

Suddenly it clear becomes
Where we ought be coming from
Where we ought be going to
What it is which we should do
Any situation in
Try it. Try it. Just begin…
