In which a fellow WordPress writer makes the bad mistake of giving this poet an excuse to get silly.
In this case, the fellow writer is British children’s author Robbie Yates.

A Couple of Yo-Yo’s
CALL by Robbie Yates:
Yoyos made a comeback
I thought that you would know!
Some people love to flick them
Up high and then down low.
They spin and twist and twirl them
They roll them on the floor,
…
(Can you finish this poem?)
RESPONSE by Ana Daksina
… My mishaps with the yoyos
Would fill a book of lore!
I thought that when I was grown up
I wouldn’t yoyo any more,
Thought that when I became adult
Yoyos would become a bore
But that was all when I was young
And foolish — all before
I found out they have made
A yoyo game that you can score!
So now I’m back — I’m on a
Veritable yoyo binge
Even though the sight of me
Makes all my neighbors cringe:
Injected it luminously
Using my syringe
And then I added dingle balls,
Hazard tape and fringe
Now all you yoyo champions
Had better anticipate
The loss of all your titles
To Robbiemon the Great!
