bad timing
you know?
it’s funny
i mus’ be
missin’ somethin’
cause when i
get in my car
polish my floors
wind up my garden hose
i don’t do it
with a big happy
grin on my face
and my hair perfect
an’ know what else?
when i go to the gym
the sewing machine shop
my dry cleaner
i never seem to get there
when those widely
smiling people in
all my ads do either
even the fancy hotels
seem to be filled,
when i arrive, anyway,
with
harried businessmen
weary drivers
whining kids
and exhausted mothers
plus
harassed and harried
staff
my car tools aren’t ever handed
to me by scantily clad
buxom suggestively
smiling women…
i must have some
really
really bad timing
