Heaven’s Favorites

Those who’ve died beneath the knife
Yet come back to us whole and well
Nevermore fear death in life ~
All have similar tales to tell

Many visited heaven, where
They intercepted were
And sent back to this world of care
Though they might much prefer

Remain amid the angels, who
Singing oh, so sweetly were,
Than face return unto this place
Of poverty and war

They say there’s kept a special space
Where certain angels take great care
To sadness try with joy replace
In answering a mother’s prayer,

Who love the mothers because they
Frequent, so unselfishly
And free from petty motives, pray
Their loved ones’ happiness to see

They say heavenly hearts rejoice
More than at any other time
When simple gratitude is voiced
For common blessings, all sublime

The pause, the gaze, the inheld breath
Which celebrate a lovely view
Celestial hearts liveneth —
Brings happiness their work unto

Each single blade of grass, unique
In all the living sward —
When we of such miracles speak
Creator finds its true reward

Redoubling great efforts to
This world make yet more magical —
When give Creation thanks unto
It benefits us All
