The New York Times had stopped allowing this poet to view its articles, as she had used all her nonpaying allowance.
Yesterday, accidentally attempting to read one, she found them once again available to her.
A cover page on her device screen told her that the article had been “made available by someone you know.“
Going to the NYT site itself ~ sure enough ~ she was prompted to check in with one touch, and… There it all was!
Having lived this last three years in virtual isolation (after noticing that those she allows to become close tend to become victims of her stalker/targeter themselves), this poet is at a loss to imagine whom that benefactor could be.
She’s most deeply grateful, though ~ she’d just begun wondering how she will follow the news when other publications follow suit, as they’re sure to do soon.
Such anonymous generosity deserves a poem, does it not?
So, let’s have one!

Loving Analysis
When facing any conflict
Two reactions possible:
One to equal pain inflict,
Of power-over full,
The other is to analyze
All elements th’equation in
To find a benefit comprise
The highest good for all begin
The first reaction guarantees
To bring naught but more pain
In an endlesss sad reprise
Start all over again
The second, when its intricacies,
Subject loving context to,
Lights the scene so each eye sees
Exactly what they add up to,
Can seem at unconsidered glance
To be very like the first —
Instead of on the happy dance
Focused on the worst
The difference lies in the goal
Of such thorough analysis:
To make the selfish self more “whole,”
Or bring the All as close to bliss
As may be manufactured
Genuine intention by
When harnessed to considered word
Achieve good synthesis to try
Among us, yet, the second kind
Reaction of is rather rare
Much more often we remain
Focused on despair
Upon revenge, and tit-for-tat,
Backbiting, accusation, angst ~
All undesirable goals that
Be deconstructive hereamongst
And so when calmer and more clear
And dispassionate
Analysis begins, we fear
It’s only a self righteous fit
The key be what we do at end
That gathered information with:
Petty interests defend
Or make it easier to live
For all concerned? The general
Int’rests of the group ensure,
Maximally beneficial,
Come from motivations pure?
Do we volunteer to move
Peacefully out of the flow
If it seems such we behoove
Once the need we come to know?
Are we willing count self as
Only one, an equal part
No better than aught other was —
To turn all of our inner art
Discover to the synchronous
Possibility
Available to truly
Unconditional love be?
If we to questions such as these
Sincerely answer “yes”
Then what appeared a social freeze
Is really but analysis

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working seven days a week to contribute to her society, however.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S, or choose to send a personal check to the poet’s ABLE account. It takes about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
