Having been most thoroughly and enthusiastically profiled by longtime adversaries ~ using a public records system which classifies false and true complaints equally, keeping both on any citizen’s cover sheet, too ~ there are those who will feel this way instead about the poet’s sacrifice of everything ordinarily considered good to keep what she needs to follow her calling.

“That’s not uncondit’ional love
You’re getting an eyeful of

That’s no visionary poet
We insist that you should know it

Nobody gives away for free
What might turned to profit be!

Those smiles, those sparkles and those hugs?
That’s just ordinary drugs

Obviously a deceiver
I sure hope you don’t believe ‘er

I hope not, my dear, because
It’s like believing in Santa Claus!”

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working seven days a week to contribute to her society, however.
