Own Good Path
We all struggle with our demons
We all have to put them down
We all know that our behaviors
Sometimes made a brother frown
We know when we’ve been uprighteous
When we’ve acted as we should,
In defence of all that is
Unselfish, right, and good
When, diligently checking there,
We in dismay behind us look
And find ’twas not own path at all
But some lower way we took
Back there — yes — the turning
We can yet just barely see,
So if we can bring our true selves
Back at it, penitent, to be,
There yet exists the slender chance
The hopeful possibility
That from that turning, next go round,
We’ll find ourselves on own good path to be

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working seven days a week to contribute to her society, however.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S, or choose to send a personal check to the poet’s ABLE account. It takes about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
