Intangible Gifting

My gifts are intangibles
Which hardly count at all
When you’re calculating
Where advantage fall

So I helped to make your path
That much more smooth and even ~
Whether credit I receive
Is much less than a given

In the moment in which I
Gave to you that gift
Which, after receiving it,
Furnished your whole world a lift,

It felt more like a challenge
To your thought process of habit —
It took another day or two
For your consciousness to grab it

And by that time it seemed to you
That it was on your own
Hit past that sticky wicket
The inner ball had gone

While I live on, if do at all,
In your memory
As someone conversation with
Struck you unpleasantly

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working seven days a week to contribute to her society, however.

Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S, or choose to send a personal check to the poet’s ABLE account. It takes about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.

Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.Posted by
