Me
I don’t really care what
We call the
Intelligence which
Orders
Our universe

I often use
The word “God”
Because it works
Well
For more
People
Than any other

Then
Afterward
I listen for reactions
And make
Adjustments where
Possible…

But.

Until we
Can figure out
How to make
A seed which turns
Itself
Into the series
Of hydraulics
Which nourish
A tree…

Whatever is that much
Smarter
Than we are
Has got to be called
Something

Right?

Being me,
When I meet people
My urge is to ask them
(Considerately)

“What spiritual language
Do you speak?
Which vocabulary
Would you like me to use while

We’re
All
Talking about the
Same
Thing?

Political?
Scientific?
Medicinal?
New Age?

Christian?
Pagan?
Hindu?
Muslim?

Historical
Hysterical?
Geographical?
Poetic?
Galactic?…”

Of course
At the current level
Of hominid
Evolution

Ninety nine times out of
A hundred, asking
This produces
Nothing but
More
