Adult?

Two kinds of people in this world
Easily we see
One kind will look for reasons
With you to agree
Before (not after) adding
Whatever their opinion be —
One dedicated to the self
And one to family

One kind does what’s necessary
And a little more,
Thinks about the others
Speech and actions well before —
The other thinks their presence
Is enough companions bless
And do what’s necessary,
But always a little less

This is the kind which
“Mindfullness” will often spout
Ignorant completely
Of what that word is all about
Thinks the frills and extras
Are enough remove all doubt
But for the ordinary basics
Will not put themselves out

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working seven days a week to contribute to her society, however.
