Reconfiguration
What is the meaning of the word “success”?
That, once we into adulthood have grown,
Shall shopkeepers our money smiling bless
And we will own what all the others own?
Will it mean that we spend our time away
From those with whom our true happiness lies,
Become so stiff we forget how to play,
Look down on the impoverished but wise?
Or might the best success be in the smiles
Of those to whom we reach out as a friend
And ease along through life’s most weary miles ~
As someone upon whom they can depend
Caring, kind and considerate to be?
~ That seems much more like true success to me

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working seven days a week to contribute to her society, however.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S, or choose to send a personal check to the poet’s ABLE Nevada account. It takes about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
