Body and Mind
You went the extra, extra mile
You gave it all your best
To pass baton
The lead upon ~
To pass the lethal test
Maintaining your compass’ionate smile
As those around decided go
With prur’iant leer,
Constricting fear ~
Or what at deepest heart they know
You asked with all your humblest heart
For angelic advice ~
Whatever came
Aught aim they’d name
You willing were to pay that price
Completed now the hardest part
As by new circumstance confessed ~
Respect your need
Reduce your speed
Body and mind require to rest

Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S, or choose to send a personal check to the poet’s ABLE Nevada account. It takes about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
