Our New Age Has a Problem
Our New Age has a problem
I can see it right from here
And as I gaze, one thing becomes
Overabundantly clear
In none of your transition towns
Your ecovillages
In your cohousing and communes
Will truly fine arts bless
The citizens of days made dim,
Though sunshine pour around,
By absence of aught new great works
Written, visual or sound
Perhaps there one or two existed
In creative history
Who had the superhuman strength
Remain employed to be
Full time, and yet illuminate
Those timeless archetypes
Which cut through all the groupthink
Profit motivation, hypes,
Common denominator’s
Tyrannical precedence
(E’en though all may be undertook
In good causes’ defense),
But most of us who write for ages
Have been destined hapless be
Signif’icantly disabled
In ways most people cannot see
We limp where others walk aright
Barely able to remain
In this world, feeling in ourselves
Every tiny creature’s pain
Look you, planners of destiny:
Unto fine arts give full lease
Or you’ll have lots of finger paint
But not a single masterpiece

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working seven days a week to contribute to her society, however.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S, or choose to send a personal check to the poet’s ABLE Nevada account. It takes about two weeks for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
