To Self be Kind
Once in a while a time it be
To put the clutch in pleasantly
And let our gears go spinning free
All successful folk agree
Once in a while, we have to know
It’s time to wriggle free and go
To Sylvan groves where flowers grow
And sweeter smelling breezes blow
Or, then again, a homebound day
Spent wiling gentle hours away
In lang’rous lounge and laughing play —
Or simply sleeping, who can say?
These truces in the daily war
Necessary sometimes are
Begrudge they not, success before —
After success, grudge not the more!
For much takes place within the mind
To which we presently are blind
All things improve when we unwind
Allowing self to self be kind

Until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ and to begin once again to create professional connections and to rebuild her life, this poet presently lives homeless and at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level ~ still working to contribute to her society, however, seven days a week.
Arts patrons may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S. It does take several days for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
