Ding and Dong

It’s effortless to talk to you
Because without undue ado
You always see my point of view!

Your visage is serene and kind
To my shortcomings you are blind
You rescue me when in a bind!

Just when I think nobody is
Completely wonderful as this
And I’m not really lost in bliss

There you go leading me along
It feels real nice, don’t get me wrong
Like I am Ding and you are Dong

Like you are Spick and I am Span
Eye to eye and man to man
Or, man to something other than

We laugh and giggle easily
For two such silly souls agree
Upon life’s ludicrosity (?)

I’d hoped to pen you sonnets but
At least you know this dogrel’s butt
Came from my very deepest gut

I would present you with no less
My inner nature must confess:
The acme of true cluelessness ~

But you think that is cute: oh, good!
Think how effortlessly I could
Put you in a happy mood!

You never hint that I should cook
From time to time you crack a book
On top of that you handsome look

There’s nothing for me not to like
I’ll say it stepped up to the mic:
You make me glad I’m not a dyke…

You’re never an ungainly churl
You praise and pamper this ghoul girl —
I’m tempted to give it a whirl!
