Ancient Egyptian Formula for the Cocreative Dismissal of Negative Thought

When we sometimes find ourselves
Disaster imagining
In ways which serve, not to prevent,
But to disaster bring
Rather than analysis
Of each pertinent thing,
Becomes a negative refrain
In absent mindedness we sing

Then is the time to put a stop
Those processes of thought unto
Satisfied with the location
Information brought us to
Allows us, for the benefit
Of All, the whole to view —
Then other processes begin
Which each are necessary, too

We check in with our feelings
Vigorous and whole,
We check in with our intuition,
Inquire of our deepest soul
If heart or spirit or Divine
Suggestions have as to our role
For the highest benefit
Of every spirit there enroll

Informed on every level, then,
Armed with all which so we saw,
When stubborn negativity
Arises in our craw,
This formula will rescue us
From its all-devouring maw:
We need but to state inwardly:
“I take that out of the Law*”

* When an Egyptian of the classical periods spoke of “the law” it often meant, “the way things are.”
