Memories of a lovely and welcoming coffeehouse.
Of course, the poet was housed at the time.
Those “dirty Jews” ~ ah, ‘scuze me ~ “dirty homeless” don’t get a welcome among the good German ~ oops again! ~ American citizens of entitlement, do they?

Take a Break
Take a little coffee break
Barista will your order take
And such a pleasure of it make
You find that you are more awake
Before that first delicious sip
Hits your anticipating lip
He furnishes some jolly quip
Your radar does a little blip
And suddenly you’re feeling fine
Whatever junk was on your mind
You find that you’ve left far behind
You sit yourself down and unwind
Forget the rank, forget the file
For a pleasant feeling while
Anxieties themselves beguile
In light of that barista’s smile

Homeless until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ this poet presently lives under perpetual threat of towing with all possessions should her 23-year-old van stop running for any reason.
She is badly in need of a modest reserve with which to field any emergency which might occur.
Donors may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S. It does take several days for the poet to be notified of your patronage.
Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
