 how stupid am i?

how stupid am i?
as stupid as you —
bet i can get
even stupider too

can’t do simple math
can’t walk the right way
right on the block
where i happen to stay

you see, i’m asperger’s —
i often can’t place
even a very
familiar face

unfortunately
it’s exactly the same
with the meaningless syllables
we call a name

lost in contemplation
eternal, divine,
i’m often unable
to relate to time

and every last one
of these handicaps be
invisibly deadly
to my credibility

when i starting talking
calmly, forsooth,
about, in this moment,
what’s the loving truth,

it might sound as though
i think that i glow
with everything everyone
ever can know

my friend, i know nothing
nothing at all
i’ve climbed to the hights
and i’ve fallen the fall

nobody’s lesser
than this blade of grass
underneath somebody’s
picnicking ass

and nobody’s greater
a more able leader
than this quite flawed specimen
offers be, either

just as a mechanic
may not know the rules
of systems of thought
taught in advanced schools

but, suddenly sure,
an authority grown
when shown to an engine,
comes into his own

so this humble servant
of the divine
can be relied on
to show us the line

in each individual
moment that Be
in our endless, wondrous
diversity

between what acceptable
and loving be
and that which no benefit
anyone see

yes, you’re very stupid
don’t have a clue
i’m stupid also —
none of us do!

but some of us do have
high inspiration
each in their own
area of relation

and my own just happens
to be truth of love —
nothing particular
i can boast of

if something needs fixing
or i spring a leak,
i’ve got no knowledge
of which i can speak

in each one of one thousand
different way —
yes, we might be stupid
but we’re all okay

Homeless until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ this poet presently lives under perpetual threat of towing with all possessions should her 23-year-old van stop running for any reason.
