Tell it Like it Is

Someone you’ll surely inconvenience
Some entrenched power irritate, forsooth
That shining holy day when you commence
To tell the whole unmitigated truth

They might shake their unbelieving heads
And poke ears that cannot have heard aright:
Surely you’ve not bypassed fears and dreads
Which fill their own hearts — never feeling right

Nor happy, nor ever genuinely
Wholly unrestrained, unedited
One uncondit’ional moment joyful be
Without its benefits be credited

Ahead of time by skillfull plotting to
They and none welcome but their counted own
Its benefits exclusively accrue
(And by as many possible be known)

Such selfishness in word and thought and deed
E’en in their artificial forms of play —
Oh, you will inconven’ience such indeed:
Tell truth — my brother, sister — anyway

Homeless until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ this poet presently lives under perpetual threat of towing with all possessions should her 23-year-old van stop running for any reason.

She is badly in need of a modest reserve with which to field any emergency which might occur.

Donors may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S. It does take several days for the poet to be notified of your patronage.

Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
