I got to hold
My new great-grandchild
In my arms today

I’m positive
He is the seventh
Wonder of the day

How could there
Ever be a babe
As excellent as this?

His presence
Had us standing round
Like Magi lost in bliss

I’m sure that
Other matriarchs
Think offspring as advanced

But I am
Here to say, of that
There’s very little chance

Why, just look
At that little face
The ears, the eyes, the nose

It’s obvious
He’s perfect
From his head down to his toes

A natural
Philosopher
And he-man all in one

We haven’t seen
His like since this
Old world was first begun

Superlative
Adorable, amazing
And what’s more

Every female
That he meets
Himself will straight adore

What? You think
All those same things
About your great grandchild too?

Well, just
Imagine that —
The silly, cheeky nerve of you!
