This poet wouldn’t be in the position she’s in if her culture paid for classic, insightful verse even as much as it pays its messenger boys ~ enough to have a humble but decent home of her own.

The very moment she began to record this morning, we began here at 24th and Elizabeth to hear dogs. Let’s see how long they continue after being written about here.

The poet reports that as soon as the above words appeared on her screen she once again had reasonable conditions in which to record.

Blind Leading the Blind

We pay tinkers, we pay tailors,
We pay skilled cabinet makers
We pay experts through the nose
Podiatrists trim our toes
We pay automo mechanics
When our transportation panics
We pay cooks, and cleaners too ~
The one thing we don’t pay is you
Visionary? Oh, just stow it:
No one’s ’bout to pay a poet

Homeless until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ this poet presently lives under perpetual threat of towing with all possessions should her 23-year-old van stop running for any reason.

She is badly in need of a modest reserve with which to field any emergency which might occur.

Donors may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S. It does take several days for the poet to be notified of your patronage.

Thank you for supporting quality in the fine arts.
